Brian has been a Certified Public Accountant for nine years and a valued part of the Weinhold Nickel team for eleven years. He is involved in all phases of the accounting and auditing services offered by the firm. He has extensive experience in strategic business planning and budgeting; reviewed and compiled financial statements; and individual, corporate, and partnership tax return preparation. He manages governmental and not-for-profit audits, including yellow book audits, and has experience in a variety of industries, including construction, manufacturing, service, and retail.
Brian graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the Franklin P. Perdue School of Business at Salisbury University, Maryland, in 1994. He worked in the private sector in the healthcare industry for two years before joining Weinhold Nickel & Company in 1996. Two years later, in 1998, he became a Certified Public Accountant. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Although he truly enjoys his work, Brian’s top priorities are his faith and his family, which bring him great strength and joy. His wife, and their two children, live in Ephrata, which has been Brian’s hometown all his life. In addition to crunching numbers, Brian enjoys playing tennis, golfing, and watching sports of all kinds. He also is an active participant at Lancaster Evangelical Free Church, Lititz, where he serves as church treasurer, chairman of the finance committee, and member of the general board.
