POSITION TITLE: Bookkeeper/ Payroll Specialist

REPORTS TO: Client Services Manager

POSITION SUMMARY
As a member of our Client Services Team, you will be responsible for maintaining the accounting records
of our clients using Excel, QuickBooks, and other software, processing payroll, and filing quarterly payroll
reports.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Records transactions and maintains accounting records for a variety of clients.
  • Ensures financial data is entered correctly and accurately.
  • Maintains client communications and relationships.
  • Prepares periodic payroll and quarterly payroll reports for a variety of clients.
  • Reconciles and reports differences or issues found in financial records.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Knowledge of bookkeeping procedures and general ledger analysis.
  • Ability to use accounting software to record, store, and analyze financial data.
  • Ability to efficiently operate a 10-key calculator or equivalent and other related office equipment.
  • Skilled with payroll and payroll reporting.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, QuickBooks, and similar software.
  • Knoledge of administrative and clerical procedures.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • 3 years’ experience in bookkeeping and payroll, preferably in a public accounting firm setting.
  • 3 years’ experience in QuickBooks
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associates degree with accounting coursework preferred.
